Qubit Integration

This article explains how to integrate your Infinity and Qubit accounts, enabling you to see Infinity data within Qubit.

What is Qubit?

Qubit is a powerful platform that brings together analytics, testing and personalisation to deliver targeted user experiences.

What does the Qubit integration do?

Integrating your Infinity and Qubit accounts means that you can conduct split testing (often called A/B testing) or multivariant testing on your website and measure the corresponding phone traffic that each variant generates.

Before you begin you'll need to check whether your Infinity subscription will let you add an additional integration. This may be a priced bolt-on for Standard packages, or may be inclusive for Professional and Enterprise packages depending upon the number of integrations you’ve already activated. For more information, please contact our Support Team, who will be able to offer advice.

Setting up your Qubit Integration

Setting up your Qubit integration is a straightforward process comprising two steps.

Firstly you need to update the Infinity Javascript snippet on your web pages to include the Qubit integration. Then you can configure the integration and determine what data you’d like to send into Qubit.

To update the Javascript snippet, Log in to the Infinity Portal, navigate to the Admin section, select Tracking Settings and Javascript.

Navigate to Step 1. Select Integrations and select the checkbox next to the Qubit Integration, as shown in the image below.

This will add the code needed for the Qubit integration into the code generator box. Then simply copy and paste the updated code onto your website pages, you can click copy to clipboard in the code generator to help you, this is highlighted in green in the image below.

The revised code should be placed just before the closing </head> tag element within each page of the website as this will allow for the fastest execution.

Configuring your Qubit integration

You configure which events will be pushed into your Qubit account from the Infinity Portal.

Log in to the Infinity Portal, navigate to the Admin section, and select Integrations.

At the top of the list of your integrations, select Add Integration, and choose Qubit 2016 from the drop down.

First you need to give your integration a name. It is Qubit 2016 by default but you can edit it. Choose something that you'll easily be able to identify later.

Then you need to enter your Qubit Account ID. This can be obtained from your Qubit account manager.

Next you need to choose the Event Type. Each Qubit account is assigned to a vertical, such as travel or publishing, which governs the events that are sent to Qubit. Please confirm with your Qubit account manager which vertical is set in your Qubit account, and select it from the dropdown.

The next step is to determine the data you'd like to pass through to Qubit. This is determined using a combination of the Value Field and the What do you want to send? configurator.

Qubit Value Field.png

The default settings are Not Sent in the Value Field and All Calls. This will pass through all calls through to Qubit, without any additional values. You can amend this to send goal values or transaction values as you see fit.

Here are a couple of scenarios:

Send all qualified calls with their goal value

In this scenario, we will send all call events that meet our qualified call goal criteria, together with their corresponding goal value.

Click on the + Add button, choose goal, is, qualified call and click the tick to add those selections.

Then choose Goal Value from the Value Field dropdown.

This will send all calls that meet your goal criteria for a qualified call, and also send the goal value you've assigned in the goal setup.

Tick the checkbox to acknowledge that this may be a chargeable integration, then click Save to save your changes.

Please note that qualified call is an example goal from our demo installation, your installation will be different.

Send sale calls and their transaction value

In this scenario we're going send all calls that were rated by the operator as a sale, together with their transaction value.

Click on All Calls and choose all call ratings from the dropdown. Then click the + Add button, choose call rating, is, sale and click the tick to add those selections.

Then choose Transaction Value from the Value Field dropdown.

This will send all calls that have been rated as a sale, together with the transaction value for that sale. Call ratings and transaction values are created using the Operator Call Rating settings in the Telephony Settings area of the Admin section of the Infinity portal.
